Artists tend to do a lot of things in their careers. I'm no exception to that. So this page is dedicated to those pieces that just don't fit anywhere else but still should be seen. Design is design no matter what it's for. Sometimes these offhand projects can demonstrate many intangibles that other in-the-box things just don't show you. So, here's some things I've done over the years that needed a home:
I took private art instruction as a child. This was acrylic paint on a piece of slate I made for my mother.
Originally drawn in highschool (see inset). Took the idea and digitized it in Adobe Illustrator. This was a nickname given to me when I moved from Michigan to Marshall, Texas.
I was on my highschool staff for our school magazine. All stories, poems, and illustrations were submitted anonymously and published by our team. I created this using pen and ink for the cover and it was selected.
I worked as a cartographer for Verizon Information Services for a couple of years. It was my job to create maps for the Verizon Superpages (phonebooks). This is an example of one I made. I used MapInfo which was exported into Freehand and then opened in Adobe Illustrator for the final rendering.
This was a floor decal done for industry shops.
